Pumped about the idea of stepping back into Marcus Fenix's historic shoes in the original Gears of War through its Ultimate Edition re-imagining? Epic wants you to be, which is why it's teasing more gameplay footage, showing off how much it's improved the graphics since the game was first released way back in 2006.
Remember that time? When the landscape wasn't awash with grey and brown cover shooters? Gears of War was the one that started that trend and boy did it hang around for the majority of a generation. That's why it's so nice to see all of the new and colourful games being released as of late.
Still, Gears of War was a very popular title and was perhaps the best of the series, despite its reduced feature set. Now though the visuals have been improved, the frames per second boosted, dedicated servers included and it comes with some extra campaign levels from the PC version of the game, but will it hold up in today's gaming environment?
Gears of War Ultimate Edition is set for release on August 25, exclusively on Xbox One.
