I think it's about time all of us who haven't played Her Story give it a shot, as just about every awards ceremony is throwing everything but the kitchen sink at it to shower it with praise. After dominating at this year's IGF awards, Her Story has come out on top at the British Academy of Film and Television Awards, otherwise known as the BAFTAs.
Her Story took home awards for Debut Game, Game Innovation and Mobile and Handheld, making it the clear overall winner of the evening. Creator and developer Sam Barlow must be very pleased.
Of course Her Story wasn't the only game to be given the nod by the ceremony though. Rocket League did very well, netting both Family and Multiplayer awards, while Fallout 4 received best game, which surprised some as though popular, it hasn't received unanimous praise.
Batman Arkham Knight won big, taking home Best British Game - a somewhat surprising win considering all of the issues that title had post launch.
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture achieved best Audio, beating out the likes of The Wticher 3 and Metal Gear Solid V to take home that coveted award. Actress Merle Dandridge also won best performance for her part in the game.
Unsurprisingly, Ori and the Blind Forest development team were given the award for Artistic Achievement. It really is a beautiful game.
If you were in charge of the BAFTAs, who would you give the awards to?
