Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Barber Mode gives Henry a new hairstyle

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II's free DLC Barber Mode will allow players to change their character's hair and beard style.

News in brief

  • Warhorse Studios detailed the new Barber Mode in a Twitch livestream today.
  • There's no release date yet, but we can expect it sometime in mid-March.
  • The livestream also detailed "Hardcore Mode" which will make the game more difficult and immersive.

In a Twitch livestream held this morning, Kingdom Come Deliverance II developers Warhorse Studios uncovered the upcoming free DLC Barber Mode, alongside Hardcore Mode, designed to make the RPG more challenging.

Warhorse revealed some facial hair sets and hairstyles we can expect to see in the new mode, allowing players to visit the barber for a fresh trim to change up their look.

Redditor Valmont_DE captured images from the livestream showing off some of the hair and beardstyles for baby-faced Henry from the new mode.

No release date has been set for Barber Mode yet, but it's expected to arrive alongside the upcoming patch in mid-March.

Hardcore Mode increases the game's difficulty, for those up for the challenge

During the livestream, Warhorse also touched on the upcoming Hardcore Mode, which it says will make the RPG "more difficult and immersive." With the mode enabled, fast travel will be locked, some helpful UI elements will be disabled, enemies will be more challenging, and you won't be able to see your location on the map — definitely not a mode for the navigationally challenged.

Players will also be able to choose from various "negative perks" to increase the game's difficulty.

Once these free updates have landed, there's still plenty to look forward to later this year, with three major paid DLCs on the horizon. Brushes with Death is coming this summer, with Legacy of the Forge in fall, and Mysteria Ecclesia expected in winter.
