It's been a long time since Mario and friends stepped on to a tennis court, so you have to wonder if they even have the skills to compete any more. Apparently they do though, or at least have the confidence to believe as such, because this November 20, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash is set to launch exclusively on the Wii U.
"And the crowd goes wild! #MarioTennis Ultra Smash launches exclusively for #WiiU on 11/20! https://Ninten.do/6015BzKDt" Nintend said on its official Twitter account, announcing the impending release of the game.
While the game was announced earlier this year at E3, little has been known about the game until now. However over on the official page, Nintendo breaks down that allows players to compete with friends and family in multiplayer matches, in both single and doubles matchups.
Multiple shot types need different counters, so using the correct attack will be important, though surprising players with the newly added Jump Shot might be the best way to go to start with. There's also a new Mega Battle mode, where giant mushrooms allow players to become huge, delivering big power shots as the match progresses.
