Even though Monster Hunter 4 only landed anywhere outside of Japan this February, as MH4U, Capcom has been working on plenty more than that port over the past year. In-fact, it's been developing an entirely new Monster Hunter game, called Monster Hunter X (cross), which it's now shown off in a new trailer.
It's quite a flashy trailer, showing off new areas, new monsters and new techniques for each of the game's main weapons, including several attacks that sent players leaping over their prey, shooting or slashing down on them as they passed. For those that aren't quite so airborne however, there are a number of other explosive attacks which appear to have large area effect explosions - though they do hinder line of sight, so expect some enemies to shrug off the attack and come barrelling out of the cloud.
Unfortunately details are rather thin on the ground at the moment, but we do know that like MH4 this game will be a 3Ds exclusive, so won't be ported over to the Wii U or any other home console. It will also be a Japanese exclusive, at least initially, with the release date for X set to be sometime towards the end of this year.
