Rockstar Games have announced their latest project, a game described as an interactive detective story and developed by another company, Australia's team Bondi, which will attempt to recreate the atmosphere of a classic Film Noire.
The game, titled L.A. Noire, is a change of direction for RockStar but will definitely create an interesting puzzle for gaming journalists as we will try to unravel the inner workings of this new title. Rockstar claims that, L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders. Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming.
Overseeing the game's progress is Brendan McNamara, better known for his contribution to The Getaway. For more information about L.A. Noire stay with MG and try the link, available by following the download tab above, for a trailer on October 5.
