With the continued Wii supply shortage, it is no wonder that Nintendo wouldn't need to advertise its highly successful console for quite a while.
Demand for "has been unprecedented and higher than Nintendo could ever have anticipated", a Nintendo spokesman told The Times Online. He then added that the Japanese company is "looking at moving some advertising on some products into early 2008" because it wants to "act responsibly."
Nintendo is currently producing 1.8 million Wiis per month. At the current production rate, total Wii units shipped will reach 17.5 million by the end of the year.
