is reporting that Nintendo has sent out software development kits (SDK) for its upcoming NX console to game developers.
Software Development Kits are typically sent out to developers several months before a new console's launch so they can have their games ready in time for the launch. With the SDK in the hands of developers, we can expect the NX to launch sometime next year.
Sources familiar with the NX development plan have told the Wall Street Journal that it is actually two devices: a console and a handheld that can be used together or separately. They also explained that Nintendo intends for the NX to be as powerful as its next gen competitors, so it is fitting it with "industry-leading chips."
