Jonathan Blow hasn't released a full game in over half a decade. Despite the success of Braid, he opted to not push for a quick turnaround on a sequel and instead pushed for something else entirely: The Witness. It's taken many years, lots of funding, but the game is finally available for sale - just not quite ready to play yet.
Set to debut in just under a week's time on January 26, The Witness will give players up to 100 hours of puzzle solving play time, in a highly stylized world, with pastelley graphics and beautifully painted backdrops in bright, vibrant colors.
If you want to pre-order the game now you can from Steam or the Humble Store, with each offering the full package for just $40.
That's hardly expensive, especially considering the estimation of how much content we'll actually get for that money. Any of you planning to get a hold of the new game at launch?
