Ubisoft shows off a new indie-like title, Grow Home

Ubisoft is an incredibly frustrating company. On one hand, it has some of the worst DLC and DRM related practices in the industry, releases games that are broken for months on end and doesn't seem to give a damn about its fan base at times.

And yet, it also releases some of the most beautiful, artistically inspired indie-like games out there, like Rayman Legends, Valiant Hearts, Child of Light and now, Grow Home.

Set for release in just two weeks time, Grow Home was developed by Ubisoft Reflections and features a robot, trying to make his way home by climbing up a seemingly never ending beanstalk.

The game has a unique art style, as you might expect from one of Ubisoft's smaller studios and is a Windows exclusive for once, so don't expect console control prompts. It's a physics based puzzle, platformer, with procedurally generated environments, so should be fresh each time you play it.

There's even a bit of a worms feel to it, with jetpacks, parachutes and a host of other gadgets to use to help you scale the huge structure.

Expect Grow Home to be ready on Steam on February 4.
