During an in-game advertisement meeting yesterday, Activision revealed its main lineup for 2009, and it turned out surprisingly similar to 2008's.
The year 2009 will see the release of the sixth Call Of Duty title, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, just one year after CoD 5 was released in 2008. The new Call Of Duty is being developed by Infinity Ward's development team that was responsible for the original CoD: Modern Warfare.
2009 will also see the tenth title in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, simply dubbed Tony Hawk's 10, as well as yet another Guitar Hero title called Guitar Hero 5. Activision also plans to utilize their James Bond franchise into a racing game which Activision describes as "Mario Kart meets Forza".
Is this a sign that Activision has decided to follow EA's footsteps into milking their franchises for continually degrading annual sequels? We hope not.
