Dark Reign Money Cheat v1.2 Final By: Tony Skinner Date: 1/05/98 This software is public domain and can be distributed freely. Change Log -- Revision .1: Received numerous bug reports about editing save game for mission level 5. Upon further inspection, I discovered the game itself saves the money value to a new offset within the file. The cheat now detects this change properly and retrieves/saves money to correct file offset. If you encounter any other levels such as this, let me know and I will correct the problem. Revision .2: After another flurry of bug reports, I discovered that missions 9, 11, and 13 change the the way in which they save the money contents to the saved game. The money cheat is fixed again. This time I tested it with ALL levels from level 1 - 13. You should have no more problems. Also fixed up garbled level display for missions > 9. Enjoy. Instructions for use: Unzip drcheat.zip into the save game directory of dark reign. (ie. C:Program FilesActivisionDark ReignSave) Before executing the program, make sure that you have saved the game from within the mission itself and not from within the command center menu. Execute the cheat by running it as you would any other Windows 95 application. Inside the editor, enter the name of the savegame. (ie. '6.sav' would be entered as '6') You will be shown the current mission and cash for the mission then you will be prompted to enter a new value for the money. You can enter any number between 0 and 999999999. If you enter the maximum amount of money and upon entering the game one of your water towers sends up 3,000 credits worth of the water, then the program will roll over the value of your cash to 0 and you will find yourself with only 2,999 credits. Bug Reports: tskinner@globaleyes.net *Disclaimer: Since this software is currently in beta form, I do hereby absolve all responsibility for the use and possible misuse of this program. **note: the cheat will ONLY work under Windows 95/NT environments; however, it can be run from a Windows 95 DOS Box. This trainer has been verified and it 'works'. If you find any difficulties please refer to the documentation that comes with the trainer (if there is any) or it must be due to the version differences of the game that was used for creating this trainer and the version you are using. --------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------

This is almost always a false alarm.
