                                Release Notes
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
READ NFO:
  Mainly, concern is for the 1.1 Cracked Update by HOODLUM.  See NOTES below.
A SavedGame giving you access to all of the areas of the game.
Unlocks:
         All 12 Chapters of The Path of War Campaign (Lost King Campaign)
NOTES:
    1. Tested with both the RETAIL and CRACKED executables of both v1.0 & v1.1.
    2. The HOODLUM/MYTH cracked 1.1 executable crashed immediately at the Start
       of Mission 12 (after the briefing screen & after the cutscenes).
       This was reproducible as we tried MANY times.  However, the problem did
       not occur on earlier Missions that we tested.  Also, the RETAIL 1.1 exe
       worked perfect for Mission 12, as did both the Retail and Cracked v1.0.
       Hoodie's 1.1 Crash Details:
       AppName: stronghold2.exe	 AppVer: 1.1.0.0	 ModName: unknown
       ModVer: 0.0.0.0	 Offset: 7d1f0000
       Crash is ALWAYS at the same Offset.
       * TNT will rant a little here now about the past conflict of RLD vs HLM.
         There was nothing wrong with Hoodie's (MYTH's) old crack methods
         for Safedisc 4.  They *cracked* the protection itself to trick it into
         decrypting the EXE and starting up the game, same as the RETAIL exe
         does.  The code running in memory is the same by that method as by
         decrypting and rebuilding a new EXE.  So why RELOADED (or RETARDED as
         hoodie likes to use) is upset with that.  Hoodie does not require any
         special hardware or burner, nor special software installed.  By all
         definitions of the word CRACK since BBS times back to 80's, hoodie's
         method is a crack and NOT A LOADER.  Yet still, even if it was (but it
         is not), since when would there be any "scene rules" against that.
         Anything you do to a EXE to get it working in fully registered/retail
         mode is perfectly valid is the scene (0day OR iso), so long as some
         conditions are met.  Such as the following:
         a)  The program's performance & content are the same as retail.
             HLM SD4 cracks did NOT run any slower as RLD claimed and why would
             they?  The code is the same as the RETAIL exe when original CD
             is in the drive.
         b)  No specialized hardware is needed to run the cracked program.
             Any burner/cd_drive works to play those old Hoodie SD4 cracks.
         c)  No extra software apps need to be installed/used to run the crack.
             Tested them on a fresh Win98 First Edition install.  Runs perfect.
             RLD's comparisions of hoodie's crack to a CloneCD is totally
             inaccurate.  Does hoodie need Clone or emulation software
             installed or running the background to run?  No!  Does hoodie need
             CD's in your drive or mounted virtual CDs to run?  No!
         However, how about some reasons for rebuilding a decrypted EXE?  Ok:
         a) The developer or protection company will not know your methods for
            cracking the EXE.  Whereas patching the protection code of the
            original EXE tips off the developer to your crack methods.
         b) You still need to make a decrypted EXE if there is a secondary CD
            Check in the decrypted code, *if you want to make a NoCD Crack*.
         c) It could be harder for DOX groups to make Trainers if you don't
            rebuild a decrypted EXE.
         Something in favour of patching the protection code of the original
         EXE is that you stand less chance of messing up with the decryption
         & rebuilding process.  (If all of RLD's crack fixes of recent HLM
         releases are any indication.  Or if you see TNT's propering of other
         groups' half-ass rebuilds that only work in WinXP and crash on Win98.
         ... because other groups did NOT rebuild properly!)
         Note to Hoodie:  even tho RLD was "more powerful" in the scene, we at
         TNT liked your old SD4 crack method and you should not have submitted
         to RLD's will, nor their "made up rules".  Fight the power!
         Still, don't get use wrong, we are not big fans of hoodie either, for
         some personal reasons we will keep to our selfs for the moment.
         -Fin-
    3. The Path of Peace Campaign does not have "unlockable" content.  However,
       you do advance through a set of missions.  Each mission contains the
       Buildings and Layout that you designed during the previous mission.
       You continue to build where you left off at in the previous mission.
       This makes a bunch of SaveGames lame in our opinion because you will
       have the buildings and arrangements chosen by our gamer.  Who wants that?
    4. *GAME SPOILER*
       (Reading the following may ruin a surprise that the game has in store)
         After completing Chapter #6, you have a choice to make and the game
         goes down an alternate set of Chapters based on your choice.  The
         first choice takes you to Chapters 7-9 and the second choice takes you
         to Chapters 10-12.  TNT has unlocked both sections to allow play of
         all 12 Chapters.
                                Installation
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Always make a backup copy of your game file(s) first:
   "My DocumentsStronghold 2config.dat"
   a) Windows 9x kernel (98/ME):
      "My Documents" is usually in "C:"
   b) Windows NT kernel (NT/2K/XP):
      "My Documents" is usually in "C:Documents and Settings<username>"
2. UnRAR the archive to your "My Documents" directory,
   overwriting any existing files.
   Always unRAR with full paths!
   If you have trouble, launch the game once and then quit. Next, search your
   drives for the following to find the correct location for extraction:
   "Stronghold 2"
   which will of course be in your "My Documents" directory.
3. Launch the game and select Play -> The Path of War -> Campaign.
   Select any Chapter and click the Right Green Arrow to begin.

                                 TNT    News
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  We are the REAL original TNT.  Any other groups who have tried to front as
  TNT over the years were just imposters.
  TNT knows that you all love the original SFV data in our NFO files.
  Too many "new" sites, using cookie-cutter scripts and that god-awful
  zipscript-c (aka project-zs), ruin all the nice SFV files in the scene!
                                 Joining TNT
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  TNT works in all languages.
  We seek like-minded individuals who are able to provide or create software in
  any language for release into the scene.
  Like most 'respectable' groups, TNT is non-profit.
  We release for the challenge of reverse engineering, the excitement of the
  race to win against other groups, and the spirit of fair competition.
  Positions are open for the following.
   Crackers : Experienced programmers and debuggers with assembly language
              knowledge who can produce Cracks, such as NoCDs & the removal of
              commercial protections, for games and applications.
     Coders : Experienced programmers who can produce KeyMakers, Game Trainers,
              or SavedGame file editors. (Assembly or C language is required)
 Game Ripper: Create ripped versions of full games. Rips retain game
              functionality while having non-essential data (such as movies or
              music) stripped out. People, especially those on slower dial-up
              connections, can try out a game rip before deciding to buy the
              full version.
   Scanning : Printed Box Art, CDs, & Manuals for new games and applications.
 FileHacker : Create All Access Enabled (Unlocked) SavedGames.
              Modify game data files to enable Cheated Stats.
              Scan game executables to locate Cheat Codes (no web thieves).
  Suppliers : Provide retail versions of new unreleased software, either games
              or applications.
    Siteops : 10mbit or faster sites on linux/unix with at least 100gigs space.
              Preference is for sites with sections of 0day, iso, dox, pda,
              or console exclusively.
              Before contacting us, please consider that Movie/Video or MP3
              sections are not desirable to us. Big movie/mp3 sites that have
              iso, 0day, or dox as an afterthought are not for TNT. Sorry.
What TNT does not need:
  Couriers, Pre Whores, Site/Bot Scripters, Thieves, Group Hoppers, Leechers,
  Narqs, Narcs, nor undercover agents.

                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  Those who seek TNT will find a way to get in touch with us.
  Just ask around for the #1 Dox group.
  TNT has no email address, nor a web site.  Any you find are surely fake.
File information
Trainers are memory resident programs that alter the behaviour of a game.
Your anti-virus software and web browser may detect them as malware (viruses, worms, trojans, bots etc.).
This is almost always a false alarm.
