Tomb Raider trainer
Text file description:
ADDITIONAL NOTES FOR THE TOMB RAIDER TRAINER V3 ----------------------------------------------- The second version of the Tomb Raider trainer includes minor updates for bugs in the first version (health and air are now out of 100). As well as this, support has been added for the 3DFX version. This allows people to use the trainer, who previously were informed by the trainer that they had the wrong version of the EXE file. Please note that people with 3DFX cards do not seem to be able to use the trainer, it will work however, with standard VESA cards. If you are told that the file size is different, please do the following in order to use the trainer. Firstly, you must download the 3DFX update. Please note that you do not need a 3DFX card to use this patch and it should work with all normal video cards. The currently supported 3DFX patch was released on Dec 17 and can be downloaded from www.tombraider.com. Alternatively you can download it directly from: http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/~gergud/3dfx.zip Once you have the patch, unzip it into your Tomb Raider directory and it should replace your TOMB.EXE file. You can now run TOMBTRN3.COM and then TOMB.EXE and the trainer should now work. Rod Maher (gergud@yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au) -------------------------------------- GAME TRAINER V1.1 - INSTALLATION NOTES -------------------------------------- To install, simply copy the file GAMETRN.COM (where GAMETRN may be the name of the game with TRN appended to it) to the directory in which your game resides. To load Game Trainer, simply type: GAMETRN (and press ENTER) Now Game trainer will be loaded into memory. It will become active as soon as you have loaded the game you wish to use in conjunction with Game Trainer. Please be aware that under Windows, the game must be loaded in the same session as the trainer was run. To do this, open up a DOS prompt and load GAMETRN. Then change to the game directory and run the necessary file to start the game. Once inside the game simply press Num Lock to activate the menu. The menu will appear listing the current options available for this game. If the version of the game you have is not directly supported, then you will be informed that there is no trainer presently available. Inside the menu the following keys are valid: ESC - Returns you back to the game. UP/DOWN - Switches between the various listed options. LEFT/RIGHT - Adjusts the value of the currently selected option. ENTER - Switches the current option ON/OFF. When the option corresponds to a memory location (ie it has a value), toggling this option to ON will freeze it at its present value. This is useful for items such as health as it means it will never decrease (invulnerability). ------------------------------------------------ ADDITIONAL OPTIONS NOT LISTED IN THE INGAME MENU ------------------------------------------------ For Z, as well as having the ability to quick build your units (selectable from the menu), it is also possible to skip to the next level. To do this simply press F12 while playing the game and the current level will be won instantly. In the Red Alert trainer, it is possible to reveal the entire map (F11) as well as skip to the next level (F12). In the Red Alert trainer V2, the reveal map option has been moved to the menu, and the level skip is now (CAPS LOCK). In the Tomb Raider trainer, pressing (F11) at the start of the first level will give you all weapons. Pressing (F12) will skip you to the the next level. In the KKND trainer, pressing (F12) will take you to the next level. -------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE HAVING DIFFICULTIES RUNNING GAME TRAINER -------------------------------------------------------------- Game Trainer does not require any particular configuration of your system files in order to operate. Hence if you have any difficulties using the trainer I suggest you try using it with a plain DOS boot disk. Some people have reported difficulty while running under Windows 95, but found the trainer works fine under DOS mode. Others have had difficulty running under DOS and found that they can get it running under Windows. So all I can say to those unlucky few who have difficulties, is to experiment until you can find a configuration that works for you. Other difficulties can arise with people using some EMM managers. As EMM memory is not required to run protected mode games under DOS, remove the EMM driver from your CONFIG.SYS. -------------------------------- RECENT REVISIONS OF GAME TRAINER -------------------------------- V1.1 - Lots of bugs fixed. The main ones involved data corruption which would sometimes cause the game to crash while loading. Also fixed a bug which would generate a protection fault (or opcode fault) upon shutting down the game. Fixed more PS/2 mouse problems and introduced a new mouse state saving routine. First (and hopefully last) final version of Game Trainer released (as V1.1). V1.04A - Fixed a keyboard sticking bug present in the Tomb Raider trainer. V1.03A - Major reworking of the trainer engine to fix the remaining keyboard problems (including more PS/2 mouse problems introduced in the last version). Also added support for games that require swapping to disk. V1.02A - Fixed numerous bugs relating to keyboard freezing and general lock-ups. Also fixed a bug which causes the menu to exit when a PS/2 mouse is moved. V1.01A - Altered the VESA routines to be fully compatible with ATI graphics cards. Symptoms of this problem was screen corruption in SVGA games. V1.0A - First alpha version of the new engine to be released for public testing. ------------------- CONTACT INFORMATION ------------------- The latest trainers can be grabbed from: http://www.gametrainer.com Any bug reports/suggestions with this version of Game Trainer can be directed to: gergud@yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au Rod Maher This trainer has been verified and it 'works'. If you find any difficulties please refer to the documentation that comes with the trainer (if there is any) or it must be due to the version differences of the game that was used for creating this trainer and the version you are using. --------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------
File information
Trainers are memory resident programs that alter the behaviour of a game.
Your anti-virus software and web browser may detect them as malware (viruses, worms, trojans, bots etc.).
This is almost always a false alarm.
