The Japanese version of the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been edited to remove a "character's exposed organ" from a cutscene and a "sexual object" from one of the levels.
After the edits, the game still received an age rating on "Z" in Japan, which is similar to the Adults Only rating in the western hemisphere. The original version of the game is banned in Japan because displaying such content is strictly prohibited there, even in adult only games.
The North American and European versions of the game are not affected by the edit. Both versions are set for release in the second half of August with the Japanese version scheduled for release on September 8th.
