Dragons Dogma Online is a four player cooperative title that will take the varied combat and giant enemies from the original game and its sequel online, to let you finally play with friends and there's a new trailer out to tease you about what else it has.
There's also a bunch of new enemies to face off against, some prettier environments - though hardly mind blowing aesthetics - new story elements, weapons and there's even Dungeon style raids for up to eight players, meaning you and your friends will need to make some more if you want to tackle the game's toughest content.
The trailer is in Japanese and for now, Capcom is saying that the game won't leave the island's shores. However, the game has been made for PS3 and PS4, as well as PC, the latter two of which are not big gaming markets in Japan, which would suggest that a worldwide release is coming down the road. Similarly so, Capcom has applied for a trademark on the name in the US.
The game will be free to play when released, which means micro-transactions will feature, but since it will be cooperative rather than competitive, that shouldn't matter too much.
Dragons Dogma Online will be released sometime later this year.
