Sales-wise, every single Call of Duty sequel has been more than its predecessor for the last 8 years; but this didn’t stop EA global product manager Kevin O'Leary from expressing his opinion that the franchise has stagnated and that it needs a break for a year.
"Poor [Black Ops II], you look tired, you should take a year off and rest," where the exact words he Tweeted.
It is worth noting that EA’s Battlefield series is the arch competitor to Call of Duty. EA is also preparing to launch one of its major franchises, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, in a few months (and right before the next Call of Duty release by a month).
