Actually, Gearbox chief Randy Pitchford did not reveal much more than that players will take the role of a Colonial Marine, with the storyline playing out from the Colonial Marines' perspective.
However, Sega has said previously of the Alien FPS that it "will retain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films while leveraging next-generation technology to create an entirely new interactive Alien experience".
Sega also has Obsidian Entertainment (KOTOR II and Neverinwter Nights 2 ) developing an Aliens RPG.
There are still no details about the Aliens RPG, but the Aliens FPS is scheduled for release in 2009, when it'll appear on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
