Just over a year and a half since the game's original release, GTA V has finally added the ability for players to take part in heists together. Admittedly those playing on the current gen consoles like the Xbox One and PS4 haven't had to wait quite so long, as everyone can take part in the new online missions.
Apart from PC players of course, who are still waiting for their version of the game.
The update that adds the heists functionality is 4.5GB or 5GB, depending on whether you're playing on a PS4 or Xbox One respectively. Xbox 360 and PS3 players can expect a much smaller download of just 1.5GB.
Along with the ability to take part in armed robberies or a larger scale than the prostitutes you're used to mugging after having your way with them, there's also a bunch of new characters that will show up as part of the update, as well as new vehicles, most of which have a military feel to them.
That includes jets, trucks, helicopters and armoured vehicles, though there is also a couple of new SUVs and a remodelling of the Karin Kuruma/Mitsubish Evo X in armoured and civilian iterations.
Much like PAYDAY too, players will have the chance to buy new masks for themselves to wear during heists as well.
Has this feature taken too long to show up for you guys? Or will you be heading back to your GTA Online account for some heist action?
