For some reason or another, Apple still refuses to allow iPhone and iPhone 3G users the basic ability to copy and paste.
Apple even went as far as banning applications that allow copy and paste from their App Store, the only way to get programs installed on iPhone.
Through clever use of Safari's bookmarks as well as java script, Jed Schmidt created a website called Pastebud that allows iPhone owners to copy and paste text from Safari to Mail, and between web pages.
Being a web page, Pastebud requires no installation and is 100% compliant with iPhone's overly restrictive license agreement. Jed Schmidt has nearly finished testing of the application and is "putting the finishing touches on the web site before launch".
