Akella, publisher of the RPG Metalheart: Replicants Rampage, issued a statement dennouncing the demo of the game which recently appeared in the World Wide Web. The company claims it is not responsible for this illegal distribution at all. The release is not an official demo-version and it appears to be an incomplete fragment of a 2003-year game build flooded with various errors.
Akella offers a rather confusing explanation for the demo's release which blames a frustrating misunderstanding between the publisher and its partner that has mistakenly put the archive into the Web. The situation is being discussed and taken care of right now.
Akella is determined not to let these problems affect the game's release date which is still set for January 2005, as previously announced.
Metalheart: Replicants Rampage is a tactical role-playing game set on a deserted planet where the main characters find themselves after their spaceship crashes. The game follows the paths of the old-school tactics/RPG classics, but adds new unique features to the traditional gameplay. Metalheart: Replicants Rampage provides a strong sci-fi story with intriguing cyberpunk influences, sophisticated turn-based combat, random quest generator with the unbelievable tasks variations, a complex character parameter system, and plenty of other wonders to make hardcore RPG fans amazed
Since the demo is considered incomplete, the publisher has spent a lot of effort trying to get it off the Web, claiming that the complete version will be completely different regarding the total conversion of RPG system and many other aspects directly influencing the general game concept itself.
The official site of Metalheart: Replicants Rampage is under intensive construction, in preparation for the release of the official demo .
