Sony is investigating a number of major issues in the recently released PlayStation 4 firmware 2.0 following widespread complaints.
Following the firmware update which rolled out last Tuesday, a large number of PlayStation 4 owners took to forums and social networks to complain of issues such as sudden shutdowns, corrupted installations and not being able to turn their consoles on after putting them into Rest Mode (the new name for PS4 Sleep mode).
"We're aware of issues reported by some PS4 users following the release of PS4's latest system software update, v 2.00," a Sony representative confirmed. "We're investigating these issues and will provide an update once we have more information."
Firmware update 2.0 added Share Play feature in addition to the ability to upload videos to YouTube.
