Ubisoft might be taking its time with games like the next Assassin's Creed and pushing us towards upcoming releases like Watch Dogs 2, but that's not all it's working on. It also looks to have a Sci-Fi game in development, but we only have the briefest idea about what it is. Although not officially revealed, it looks like Ubisoft may have slipped references to it into Watch Dogs 2.
Hacking into the Ubisoft building in the game will give you the chance to view the following trailer, seemingly for an unreleased and unannounced title.
It's hard to draw much from this brief glimpse, but in it we see brightly covered space ships, crewed by individual pilots, pulling up to a bunch of space junk in orbit around various planets. The music has a real, Firefly, Cowboy Bebop vibe, but what we're looking at in terms of gameplay is anyone's guess.
It could be some sort of in-space scavenger hunt, a Homeworld-like space strategy, a licensed property of one of the aforementioned franchises - who knows?
Of course this could all be flavour text for Watch Dogs 2. It's not like any of us expect Bas Rutten's GTA TV show to become a reality. Even if we wish it would.
