The short films Blizzard has created to help flesh out Overwatch's lore are arguably the best game movies ever, even if they are rather short. The animations are great, the characters are rich and well written and they add some nice background details to the game itself.
The latest one, Rise and Shine, is no different and will likely be just as well received as its predecessors. It focuses on Mei, giving us some backstory on her character and tugging at our heart strings thanks to her plight and the cute Snowball robot.
The Pixar-like short film highlights not only Mei's backstory but where some of her mainstay abilities from the game come from. You see where her Endothermic Blaster comes from and why she's used to the odd stint of cryo-sleep.
